The loyal PetKnows readers may remember the recent Panda tribute we did a few weeks ago. Well, it seems that our favorite black and white bears are taking a break from bamboo and heading to Hollywood.

The release of Kung Fu Panda is today, and so far, the furry fellows are all the rage at the box office. The Washington Post has said that the “computer-animated DreamWorks film is infectious and inspiring, despite one’s best efforts to resist its charms.”

Some of the actors doing the voices in the movie are: Jack Black, the voice of panda Po, Dustin Hoffman, the martial arts master Shifu, and Tai Lung voiced by Ian McShane. Additionally there are a few super stars behind “the Furious Five” who include the Tigress (Angelina Jolie), the Crane (David Cross), the Monkey (Jackie Chan), the Mantis (Seth Rogen) and the Viper (Lucy Liu).

And for those pet lovers who also follow the celebrity world - apparently, during an interview with Jack Black and Angelina Jolie, Black inadvertently spilled the beans about Jolie’s twins.

Perhaps the most panda-wonderful thing about this movie is that you can see it in iMax Theaters. I, for one, can’t wait to check it out and take a break from the big city inside an animated jungle.
