A new client of mine, Scott Common Sense Community, has dedicated an entire section of their “Neat and Clean” tips to all-things pets! A few of my favorite tips summated by community members:

• “To get dog hair off of carpet or rugs spray with fabric softener in a 5 to 1 ratio. Let dry and vacuum and be amazed at the amount of hair you got.”
• “Did your pet cat have an ‘accident’ on clothing or blankets? Urine smells don’t wash out easily, but adding a small amount of White Vinegar(about 1/4 to 1/2 cup works well) to your washer when it is filling with water eliminates that nasty odor.”
• “I have two long hair cats that are always brushing themselves against my white lampshades, I discovered that if I wiped the shades with a dry magic eraser the cat hair would stick to the eraser, and the shade looks new again.
