Humane Society Walk for the Animals

by Nima · October 1st, 2008 · No Comments

One of the most enjoyable aspects of being a dog owner for me is watching Santana meet and bond with other dogs. The few chances that I get right now (since there aren’t many dog parks near me) are the occasional passing by of other neighbors who are walking their dogs - but Santana already knows them so it’s nothing special to him.

This Sunday, October 5, 2008 the Humane Society is having a Walk for the Animals where dog owners are encouraged to bring their dogs for a scenic walk around the lake at Constitution Gardens in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately for me, D.C. has a ban on Pit Bulls so I am unable to take Santana to the event. However, I encourage all of you dog owners who are able to make it to the event on Sunday to attend, and to encourage your friends and family to attend as well. This is a great cause, and all proceeds will benefit adoption, humane education, and spay/neuter programs.
