When the National Geographic Channel contacted us about reviewing “In The Womb,” they also sent us a DVD with the premier of the new season of “The Dog Whisperer.” Needless to say, I was psyched about this since I love watching Cesar tame the most aggressive and wild of dogs. If only he would come to the East Cost to work with my and my sister’s dogs…
In case you’ve been living under a rock, here’s the gist of the show:
Renowned dog behavior expert Cesar Millan is one of the most sought-after specialists working in the field of dog rehabilitation. From bullying Chihuahuas to timid great Danes, Cesar has an uncanny gift for communicating with dogs and seeing the world through their eyes. Cesar has been called “a Dr. Phil for dogs,” and for good reason. His amazing rehabilitations of aggressive, scared, lazy, compulsive, and jealous dogs captured the national spotlight when his National Geographic Channel (NGC) series Dog Whisperer premiered in 2004.
If you have never seen the show, mark your calendar, set your TiVo, or just go over to the site to see clips from past shows. It’s hard to not get drawn in by Cesar’s tricks and tips on how to become the pack leader, and how to break your dog of behavior issues. The new season just started last week, so check out the listing of upcoming episodes.
Here’s a clip from the premier where Cesar helped Ashley Simpson Wentz and Pete Wentz get their two bulldogs ready for the arrival of their new baby. Their two bull dogs are ADORABLE.
